HEPA Vacuums
Vacuum filters filter dust particles, dirt, debris, mold, allergens, etc from the exhaust air of the vacuum cleaners. Today, most of the vacuum cleaners come with the latest HEPA or the High Efficiency Particulate Arresting filter. These filters are very powerful and filter even the minutest particles. Nuclear particles and dust used to be filtered with the help of HEPA filters which were designed during the Second World War. These highly efficient filters today are used in vacuums to enhance cleaning capabilities.
HEPA vacuums are very efficient as their suction air flow is powerful. They also safeguard the environment by filtering allergens and dirt particles and preventing them from escaping into the atmosphere. These filters ensure a healthy and clean environment by eliminating every single dust particle and allergens from the air.
It is possible to incorporate the HEPA filtration system in older model vacuum cleaners. Performance is almost similar with both the non HEPA and HEPA vacuums. Both models come with equal amount of suction power. HEPA vacuum cleaners however are more expensive than the regular models.
For household containing pets, HEPA vacuums are valuable investments. Pets tend to leave around a lot of hair and dandruff which are a source of allergy for many people. Periodic cleaning with HEPA vacuum cleaners ensures atmosphere is free of these harmful fibers. This ensures people are not affected by respiratory problems usually associated with fibers.
In order to ensure highly efficient performance of the HEPA vacuums, it is recommended to change the HEPA filter periodically as per manufacturer’s instructions. HEPA vacuum cleaners come in two models including the canister and the upright. Canister models come with a long hose making it easy to clean high surfaces. Special attachments are provided which help clean areas that are otherwise difficult to reach. Surfaces that can be effectively cleaned and eliminated of dust and lead particles include the floors, walls, ceilings, fixtures, appliances, cabinets, ventilation, heating, etc.
It is recommended to change the bags in the HEPA vacuums outside the building to ensure dust, fibers and lead particles do not come back into the atmosphere and settle on furniture and carpets.
